ACCOMMODATION

For the guided tours that we advertise as fixed offers at certain times, the route, the accommodations and the dates are usually fixed. These can be tours in which we stay in lodges, hotels, guest houses and national park camps, as well as camping tours.
For tours that we organize as a group tour, we design it in cooperation with our clients.

Basically, it works similarly to self-drive tours. You tell us where you want to go, what you like to see and what you want to experience. In order to ensure the vehicles and desired accommodation, we should not start planning too late. When the route and dates are fixed, you will receive our quotation for this tour.

The advertised trips are usually offered at fixed times and at fixed rates, which are only valid for the specified dates. In the tour brochure, you will find a description of the accommodations, their category, location and facilities.

For self-drive tours and guided group tours, we suggest the accommodations and then select them together with our clients. Along the popular routes, we usually come across a well-developed tourist infrastructure. If the route takes us further away from the well-known and more frequented paths, it is a great advantage if we start planning early enough, so that we can choice the accommodation as freely as possible. It doesn't matter whether you stay in guest houses, lodges or tent camps, camp on campsites, or even want to go on a safari into the wilderness. The route influences the sellection of accommodation and vice versa, the supply of accommodation has an influence on the selection of the routes.
Of course, we will advise you and then find the right one.

This also applies to "low-budget" trips with overnight stays in basic accommodations and so-called "backpackers". We pay attention to location, cleanliness, equipment, kitchen and bar etc., of course in every category of accommodation.

In the areas "far from civilization", we encounter a wide spread in prices, between the rustic accommodations and campsites on the one hand and the luxurious tent camps on the other. Clearly and that is also easy to understand: You have to bring everything yourself to the self-catering places. In the luxurious accommodations you will be provided - mostly "fully inclusive" - including all meals, drinks, game drives, boat tours etc.

Even within the category of luxury lodges and camps, there are significant differences that cannot always be explained solely by the differences in the service provided. Some customers choose the more expensive places because of a certain seclusion and exclusivity - which is legitimate and especially important for some people. On the other hand, it helps us a lot if we already know in advance which type and category of accommodation our clients like and what budget they are planning for their trip.
But what do we also learn from it? For example: You can also explore the Okavango Delta with a small purse and the corresponding budget. You just have to know how to do it.

Regarding to vehicles we are nowhere near as flexible. As long as you can move on the well-developed roads - no problem! But as soon as it goes into the "wilderness", the route limits our options. See also the information page regarding the selection of vehicles!
